Meet the Owner/Therapist

Ashley G. Little is the Owner and Clinical Therapist of Little Light of Mine Counseling & Community Services, LLC. Ashley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working with children, youth, adults, and families in a variety of settings.

Prior to transitioning into full time therapy practice, Ashley worked at SC DSS, a therapeutic childcare center for children 0-5 with social emotional challenges, a psychiatric mental health facility, a foster care group home, served as the manager of a youth and young adult homeless shelter, and most recently served as the Director of a therapeutic foster care agency.

As a clinician, Ashley focuses on client strengths and guides them in developing areas for growth. Ashley helps clients achieve stability, mood improvement, and a better understanding of where their problems originate.

Therapeutic Approaches

Ashley uses a combination of CBT, DBT, TBRI, solutions-focused, client-strengths, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy approaches. Since therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, each client receives treatment tailored to their specific needs. One thing you can count on is feeling welcome, heard, and cared for.

Education

Ashley holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Clemson University, a Master's degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University, and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. Ashley is licensed in the state of South Carolina as a Licensed Independent Social Worker of Clinical Practice (LISW-CP).
